Education system is what touches my nerves and soul. We have been living in educationally aware world for quite a long time. There is pomp and show of improved education system everywhere. Be it at the international, national or regional level, the stake-holders are working for the best results. India is also one of the nation working day and night for better education system. Every now and then, various policies are being framed and schemes implemented, only to provide better education impregnated with quality. Various provisions have been kept for the education sectors and various amendments are being validated from time to time, only to safeguard the educational rights.
With the expansion of private educational institutions all over the country, the government-run bodies are at the back row, instead of heading forward. The privatization of education has no doubt improved the educational matter but at the same time it has deprived and created bias in multi-stratified socio and economic class like India, where majority of the population is figured in the weak and poor class and at the most the middle class. It’s where a fake educational status is conferred to India. There isn’t any room for doubting the educational quality of private schools for they squeeze the pockets of majority of Indians at the cost of providing better education to young Indian generation, which infact they do.
The Right to education Act 2009 has been passed which enforces the reservation of 25% of seats in private schools for economically weak classes. This is surely a good step for enriching the educational system in India and establishing uniformity all over. But at the same time, Indian government should attempt for better educational system in government –run schools. With the qualified and screened teachers being employed every year, there must be a way to get the work done more effectively and potentially, for the teachers in government schools are deemed to be more qualified. Unfortunately, instead of paving way for better future, the teachers are involved in prioritizing the extra-school tuitions to fetch hefty sums and tighten the throats of poor Indian parents…….to be continued….
